MORE Electric and Power Corporation is inviting prospective bidders for the supply of its power requirement of 10MW baseload capacity at fixed rate and another 10 MW baseload capacity with fuel pass through. The initial delivery date shall be on November 26, 2023, 00:00H and shall remain effective for a period of three (3) years.

What is a Lifeline Rate and its benefits to qualified marginalized end-users?

The Lifeline Rate is a subsidized electricity rate provided to financially challenged low-income customers who struggle to pay their bills. This program aims to ensure equitable distribution and support those in need.

Who can avail of the Lifeline Rate?

✔️ Qualified household-beneficiaries under the “4Ps Act” (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program).
✔️ Marginalized end-users living below the poverty threshold established by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), meeting the required qualifications.

Remember, consumption must remain below 95 kWh to qualify.

Who are disqualified for the availing of Lifeline Rate?

❌ Marginalized end-users residing in condos or subdivisions (excluding government-certified projects).
❌ Users availing net-metering services (unless consumption is under 95 kWh before Net Metering).
❌ Those not meeting the criteria for 4Ps beneficiaries or living below the poverty line.
❌ Individuals who have violated the Anti-Pilferage of Electricity Act.

What are the requirements to avail of the Lifeline Rate?

For 4Ps beneficiaries:
✓ Accomplished Lifeline Rate Application form.
✓ Most recent electricity bill.
✓ Valid government-issued ID (preferably 4Ps ID).

For non-4Ps members below the poverty threshold:
✓ Accomplished Lifeline Rate Application form.
✓ Most recent electricity bill.
✓ Valid government-issued ID.
✓ Certification from the local Social Welfare and Development Office (SWDO) showing income below the poverty threshold.

What is the validity period of the Lifeline Rate?

✓ For 4Ps beneficiaries, the rate remains valid as long as they remain on the certified list provided by DSWD.
✓ For non-4Ps beneficiaries, the rate is valid for three (3) years from the date of certification by the local SWDO.
