MORE Electric and Power Corporation (individually and collectively known as “MORE Power,” “the company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and recognizes the need for appropriate measures to protect and manage your personal data when transacting or doing business with the company.
This Privacy Statement aims to assure you of our commitment to observe the appropriate level of personal data protection in compliance with the standards prescribed by Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the “Data Privacy Act of 2012,” its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and the company’s internal data privacy and protection policies.
We may collect and process your personal data in the ordinary course of the company business which may include but is not limited to:
- Name, address, account identification number, attorney-in-fact or authorized representative’s name and residence, contact details including landline number, mobile number, and/or email address, bill details such as monthly consumption, payment, bill deposit, and other sensitive personal information such as your age, marital status, tax identification number, social security number, and other government-issued identification cards,
- Information to determine eligibility to participate in certain energy programs or services, such as net metering, elevated metering centers, senior citizen rate, lifeline rate, and such other programs or services that may be introduced by MORE Power.
- Information you fill out in any form on our website, information you provide through private messages and comments to the company’s official social media pages, information given such as, when you wish to contact us to lodge your concerns, inquiries, and complaint details on the quality and reliability of electric service, to request for inspection, to request for change of mode of bill delivery, or to inquire about our billing and/or payment services;
- Responses you or your representative provide when you participate in our customer surveys online or otherwise.
- Personal Information obtained from third parties and other sources which have obtained your prior consent for disclosure or when MORE Power is legally allowed to acquire such information.
- Any other information you voluntarily provide for any legitimate purpose declared at point of collection of such information.
When necessary, MORE Power requests for your Personal Data, stores, processes, and analyzes the information collected for the following purposes:
- To perform our obligations as electricity distribution utility in Iloilo City;
- To improve our products and services to you;
- For identification or verification purposes;
- To communicate or contact you with regard to your account with us;
- To send information about our programs and service offerings that may be of interest to you;
- To evaluate and determine your continued qualification for service connection;
- To administer and/or manage your service connection and account with us;
- To keep an internal record for confirming, maintaining, or updating our customer records for statistical analysis and internal reporting;
- For customer relationship management purposes, such as updating you on our activities in connection with our services;
- To verify your identity and eligibility to claim refunds or claim for bill deposits;
- To satisfy any legal or regulatory requirements; and
- To comply with legal and regulatory requirements and perform such other processing that may be required under any applicable law or regulation.
In the course of performing our services as electricity distribution utility, MORE Power may engage the services of third-party service providers. In doing so, certain personal information may be required to be disclosed for legitimate business purposes and as may be necessary to provide you with our services.
Access to your personal information is restricted to MORE Power employees and contractors on a need-to-know basis to carry out their responsibilities with regard to the conduct of our business. This includes meter reading, bill delivery, field inspection, energization, and restoration of your electric service.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your Personal Data to third parties. We require our contractors, through a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), to secure and keep your information confidential and we do not allow them to disclose your information to others, or to use it for their own purposes. If shared, we will, at your request, provide you with details of the companies with whom we have shared your Personal Data.
Your personal information will be retained by MORE Power until it is no longer necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose/s for which it was obtained and for an additional period of ten (10) years thereafter. After which, the data will be anonymized and utilized solely for statistical purposes.
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the declared, specified, and legitimate purposes provided above, or when the processing relevant to the purpose has been completed or terminated, for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, or for other business purposes, that are consistent with standards established or approved by regulatory agencies governing MORE Power.

You may request for a copy of your personal information in our possession, or have it corrected if you believe that it is inaccurate or incomplete. If you wish to request for a copy of your personal data, or have it corrected or deleted, please reach out to us through our contact information found below. We will make every reasonable effort to correct, update and respond to your request promptly, unless we require further information from you in order to fulfill your request, and in each case, subject to legal and other permissible considerations.
